Raschein assignments

KEY LARGO — State Rep. Holly Raschein, R-Key Largo, will serve on four Florida House of Representatives committees and subcommittees during the 2015 legislative session.

Speaker of the House Steve Crisafulli placed Raschein in a leadership position as vice chair of the Highway and Waterway Safety Subcommittee. She was also named to the Appropriations Committee, Regulatory Affairs Committee and Veteran and Military Affairs Subcommittee. Committees and subcommittees will start meeting next month in Tallahassee to begin discussing proposed legislation.

“I am thankful to Speaker Crisafulli for appointing me to such a far-reaching group of committees and subcommittees,” Raschein said in a prepared statement. “These committee assignments will place me in strong position to continue focusing on the important issues facing District 120.”

Crisafulli also reappointed Raschein to the Florida Council on Arts and Culture for another two-year term. The Florida Council on Arts and Culture is the 15-member advisory council appointed to advise the Secretary of State regarding cultural grant funding and on matters pertaining to culture in Florida.
